The Start of My Blogging Adventure
Hello! Do you love to travel? Love your dogs and need to take them everywhere with you? If you said yes, this blog is for you! My name is Kaitlyn and my husband, Aaron, and I are on a mission to visit all 50 states. I love road trips because I like to stop at all the cool and weird roadside attractions that you would only want to see if you were on a road trip (AKA the world's largest ball of stamps in Omaha, Nebraska).
A big bonus of road trips is that we get to bring our three dogs everywhere we go. We didn't start off bringing our dogs, but we soon figured out that we miss them too much when we're gone and it's SUPER hard to find a babysitter for three crazy dogs.
I also wanted to start this blog because before I go on a trip, I do a TON of research. When I go somewhere, I need to see everything there is to see, and to make sure I'm not missing anything important. I actually do hours of research, not to necessarily find the nicest or highest rated places, but rather the weirdest bars, must try crazy foods, and most scenic hiking spots.
A usual trip for us consists of driving through the night, hiking in the morning to tire the dogs out, and then going out at night to see the city (usually not too late, we're early birds). I try to pick a major city in the state we visit, and see all of the major attractions there. For each trip I will give you our itinerary and a little review of each place we went to. Hopefully this will narrow down the research that you have to do if you're like me and want to know what the must see things are in each place.
We are currently on state 21, almost halfway! I'm going to first post about past places that we visited, but when we do go on a trip I will post the current one that week. Our next trip is Nebraska, which will be in about a week and a half. I'm super excited about it because our friend that moved to Colorado over the summer will be meeting us there!
Stay tuned for State #1!
